Some people when they come to see me, they’re concerned about the way … What I hear from them is, “Doctor, can you do anything about my small teeth?” When I look in their mouth sometimes it’s not that they have small teeth, it’s that they have big gums and the gums are covering their teeth. So there’s different ways to get around that, but a lot of times we do what’s called gum reshaping or sometimes you’ll hear it called crown lengthening. Sometimes it involves just contouring the gums and we can do that. We use a laser in our office. It heals faster, is more comfortable, and it’s a way to be able to do that procedure, which is very minimally invasive as compared to old traditional ways.
